Meet the executive team

Jo Land
Group Deputy Chief Executive

I’m responsible for making sure that we continually improve as an organisation and that we create the right environment to recruit, develop and retain the best employees in social care. I am also a trustee of Key Ring Supported Living Networks, Treasurer of the Charities HR Network (CHRN) and Co-Chair of the HR Network at VODG (Voluntary Organisations Disability Group).

Nicola Ford
Group Director of Finance

I am responsible for ensuring the financial control and reporting of the Group's finances and the effectiveness of our IT systems.

Peter Snelling
Chief Operating Officer

My role focuses on making sure we are providing the best services possible for the people we support. I make sure that we’re continually looking to improve quality and efficiency and to develop and grow what we do.

Steven Parker
Group Director of Housing and Property

I’m responsible for properties that Avenues has, those we own and those we rent or lease from our partners in the NHS, Local Authorities, Private Landlords and Housing Associations. This is about making sure that they are fit for purpose, suitable for our tenants' needs, and also that we recover the costs necessary to sustain them from our commissioners. I’m also involved in service development, refurbishing schemes and finding new properties.

Carol Jones
Group Director of Quality

My focus is to make sure we always provide high-quality services to everyone we support, which means they are effective, personalised and lead to meaningful outcomes. I'm also responsible for the monitoring of our work so we can make improvements where needed, and celebrate and share the great ideas, commitment and effort of colleagues.
